Sources: Sonic out of Envy

According to sources close to Rush B Media, the North American organization are ready to move away from AWPer Aran ‘Sonic’ Groesbeek, allowing in-game leader Noah ‘Nifty’ Francis to take over as primary AWPer. Sonic joined Envy from South African organization ATK in June of this year. It is currently unknown who will replace Sonic as the fifth player for Envy.

The latest Envy lineup had few successes and many failures. Over nearly three months, they managed a 25-22 record, failed to qualify for ESL One New York and the StarLadder NA Minor and are currently ranked No. 44 on HLTV. However, Envy did manage to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 10. Envy are wasting no time in getting started with what will surely be a busy post-major shuffle period for North American teams. Complexity Founder and CEO Jason Lake tweeted immediately after his team was eliminated from the Challengers Stage of the Berlin Major that he would be looking to build a juggernaut at Complexity with Tier 1 players. 100 Thieves is still yet to announce any players in their return to Counter-Strike, but the prevailing thought is that the team will be based in NA even if their lineup is European.

Rush B Media reached out to Envy to provide a comment, but at the time of publishing has not responded. We will provide an update should they respond. With Sonic’s departure looming, the Envy lineup will look like:

Noah ‘Nifty’ Francis

Sam ‘s0m’ Oh

Jacob ‘FugLy’ Medina

Bradley ‘ANDROID’ Fodor

Zachary ‘Eley’ Stauffer (Coach)
