Sources: ATK to make multiple changes
South African organization ATK will be making multiple changes to their lineup according to sources close to Rush B Media. The team will welcome back AWPer Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek to the lineup, whom Rush B Media recently reported is on his way out of Envy. In a since-deleted tweet, Sonic confirmed the news he was set to leave Envy. Sources say ATK will also be adding Josh "oSee" Ohm and Ricky "floppy" Kemery from Team Singularity. According to the same sources, the three players making way will be Rhys "Fadey" Armstrong, Robby "blackpoisoN" da Loca and Dominic "Domsterr" Sampaio. Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and Ian "motm" Hardy will reportedly retain their positions in the lineup. Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen is expected to remain as the coach moving forward in the new lineup.
ATK has had a majority South African lineup since its creation in April of this year, but after being relegated from ESL Pro League Season 9 are making drastic changes to the lineup for the new MDL season. ATK had no real results of note online and failed to qualify for any major LAN since they were signed after leaving Denial in April of this year. ATK most recently qualified for the ECS Season 8 North American Challenger Cup which will determine which teams will help fill out the brackets for FACEIT's upcoming ECS season.
With the changes ahead the expected ATK lineup will consist of:
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
Josh "oSee" Ohm
Ricky "floppy" Kemery
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
Ian "motm" Hardy
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (Coach) Rush B Media reached out to ATK for comment and will update this story if provided any.
