moose Set To Miss Out On ESL Pro League Due To VISA Issues
eUnited’s star player Kaleb ‘moose’ Jayne will miss out on playing at the ESL Pro League LAN event in just over a week, due to VISA issues. moose stood out as the best player on eUnited at IEM Sydney, but the Canadian’s VISA has not been sorted in time and eUnited will be forced to use a stand-in at the event.
The North American side will have to play Cloud9, Ghost Gaming and Infinity in the second round of the event as they attempt to make it all the way to eventual LAN finals, but doing so without their flagship rifler is likely to be a lot more difficult. With two spots between eight teams remaining to join NRG, Team Liquid, Luminosity and DETONA, and other big names like MiBR and Renegades in the other group, eUnited have their work cut out.
moose himself hinted at the news earlier today on Twitter, with some not-so-subtle emoji usage. It is not yet known who will stand in for the North American side, as news of moose’s absence is only recent.
We approached eUnited for comment, who said: “Moose’s VISA process is nearing completion. Unfortunately we had to answer additional questions for the Visa which caused unexpected delays. This makes it so that moose might not be able to travel this upcoming weekend. This is coming down to the wire so we will potentially be looking at a stand in for the event.”
