k0nfig to remain with OpTic, Snappi to be cut

Sources close to Rush B Media have informed us that Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecket may no longer be leaving OpTic Gaming. This new information comes after a report that Jarek “Dekay” Lewis published on Dexerto stating that Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen would be joining OpTic. However, rather then removing k0nfig to make room for one of the two Rogue players, we have been informed that Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer may be leaving the team.

As of right now it is unknown where Marco would be going if he left, but like Connor Bennett reported, Jakob “JUGi” Hansen is still in talks with Cloud9. Originally the NA org had been in discussions with both the previously mentioned AWPer JUGi and Ismail “refrezh” Ali, but the young ex-Fragsters star did not want to move to North America, leaving k0nfig as a second choice. Since it appears that Cloud9 will only be getting one member of OpTic at this time, they are looking to bring Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey back on board in order to retain their spot at the Major.

If the reported moves go through, MSL will once again be playing alongside René “cajunb” Borg and k0nfig, who he spent over a year with on North. As for niko, this won't be his first time playing under the OpTic Gaming name. As he spent the last few months of 2018 playing for the organization, most notably finishing 2nd at cs_summit 3 and 3-4th at StarSeries i-League Season 6. Finally, JUGi will be moving to North America to play Cloud9 and k0nfig will stay to play under the familiar leadership skills of MSL.

According to what sources have said, the Cloud9 roster will be as follows:

Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey

Jakob “JUGi” Hansen

Timothy “autimatic” Ta

Will “RUSH” Wierzba

Maikil “Golden” Selim

And OpTic will consist of:

Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen

Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke

Ismail “refrezh” Ali

René “cajunb” Borg
